The paintings of the vault
The murals were executed between 1692 and 1702. Hidden during the Revolution by a thick whitewash, they were rediscovered in 1863 by Joseph Engalières and the parish priest of the time, Canon Faucon, who died in 1883. These paintings represent a concert of angels in late 18th century costume, singing the praises of the Virgin Mary.
